Hisn - Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Hisn ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

The App is developed and maintained by Arif Edemir ("Developer," "we," "our," or "us").

2. Description of Service

Hisn is an Islamic remembrance (adhkar) and productivity application that provides:

Daily adhkar (morning, evening, and other remembrances)
Prayer time calculations based on your location
Qibla direction finder
App-blocking feature that restricts access to selected apps until daily adhkar are completed (using Apple's Screen Time API)

The App is available on iOS devices through the Apple App Store.

3. Subscription Terms

3.1 Subscription Plans

Hisn offers premium features through auto-renewable subscriptions:

Current localized prices are displayed in the App and on Apple's purchase confirmation sheet before purchase. Prices may vary by country or region.

3.2 Auto-Renewal

Important: Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Your Apple ID account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the same subscription rate.

3.3 Free Trial

Weekly, monthly, and yearly plans include a 7-day free trial for eligible users when shown on Apple's purchase confirmation sheet. A free trial automatically converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the trial expires. Any unused portion of a free trial period will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

3.4 How to Cancel

You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple device:

Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.
Tap your name (Apple ID) at the top.
Tap Subscriptions.
Select Hisn.
Tap Cancel Subscription.

Alternatively, you can manage subscriptions through the App Store app under your account settings.

Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will continue to have access to premium features until the period expires.

3.5 Refunds

All purchases are processed by Apple. Refund requests must be directed to Apple through their standard process:

We do not process payments or refunds directly.

4. User Responsibilities

By using the App, you agree to:

Use the App only for its intended purpose.
Not attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App.
Not use the App for any unlawful purpose.
Not attempt to circumvent the app-blocking feature through unauthorized means.
Comply with all applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction.

5. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, and features of the App are the intellectual property of Arif Edemir and are protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms and the Apple App Store Terms of Service.

The Islamic texts and adhkar included in the App are from authentic traditional sources and are considered shared religious heritage.

6. Prayer Times & Qibla Disclaimer

Prayer times and Qibla direction provided by the App are calculated using mathematical algorithms and your device's location and sensors. While we strive for accuracy, these calculations are estimates and may vary based on your location accuracy, device sensors, and calculation method selected. We recommend verifying with your local mosque or Islamic authority for critical prayer time decisions.

7. Screen Time & App Blocking

The app-blocking feature uses Apple's Screen Time API (Family Controls framework). By enabling this feature:

You authorize Hisn to set restrictions on apps you select.
You understand that blocked apps will be inaccessible until the adhkar requirement is met.
You can disable this feature at any time through the App's settings.
In case of emergency, you can always access essential device functions (phone calls, emergency services) as these are not affected by the Screen Time API.

We are not responsible for any inconvenience or consequence resulting from the use of the app-blocking feature. You enable it at your own discretion.

8. Availability & Updates

We strive to keep the App available and functional at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The App may be temporarily unavailable due to:

Maintenance or updates.
Technical issues beyond our control.
Changes to Apple's operating system or APIs.

We reserve the right to modify, update, or discontinue any feature of the App at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of harmful components.
We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App.
Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Developer from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

11. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services:

Apple App Store: Governs the distribution, purchase, and subscription management of the App. Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA) also applies.
RevenueCat: Manages subscription verification. Subject to RevenueCat's Terms of Service.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Turkey, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Turkey.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that the remaining provisions of the Terms will remain in full force and effect.

14. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. When we make changes:

The updated Terms will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify users through the App or App Store update notes.
Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

16. Apple-Specific Terms

These additional terms apply as required by Apple:

These Terms are between you and Arif Edemir, not with Apple. Arif Edemir is solely responsible for the App and its content.
Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support services for the App.
In the event of any failure of the App to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any). Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the App.
Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the App, including product liability claims, consumer protection claims, or intellectual property infringement claims.
Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and, upon your acceptance, Apple will have the right to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.
